I am a little discouraged about the shawl pins. You can see the green beaded pin in the photo that I bought at Down Cellar. Unfortunately, it a little narrow for the lace and even the stockinette part of this sweater. I feel bad that I didn help her, or at least make her job easier. Many of the kids from the Country Club had black maids; the majority of mothers didn work. Martha stayed with my family for most of the 80 until my mother got a white cleaning lady.
